Man with back pain from poor posture

Posture and Back Pain

Everyone has heard that sitting or standing up straight is good for your back; however, maintaining proper posture at all hours of the day is usually easier said than done.

Many people experience back pain due to poor posture. Sitting and standing upright allows for the spine to be properly aligned. This can help prevent back pain. It can be very difficult for some to get into the habit of practicing proper posture.  Getting into the habit of avoiding slouching or hunching over is important for overall spinal health. Avoid bad posture habits by incorporating healthy practices through strengthening exercises and stretches.
