Time to Stand Up and Take Notice of The SIT Procedure

Do you have SI joint dysfunction? Many of our patients commonly complain of sciatica-like pain in the buttocks or down the back of the leg, lower sacral pain, hip or pelvis pain, pain lying on one side, disturbed sitting patterns, or pain moving from sitting to standing. If you experience any of the above symptoms, you may have sacroiliac joint dysfunction.

This diagnosis can be made utilizing imaging and in-office testing. Once the diagnosis has been made treatment options include, ice and heat, physical therapy, rest, bracing, medications, SI joint injections, and radiofrequency. If these treatment options provide only transient relief, a SIT procedure may be the answer to provide you with much longer-lasting relief.

The SIT procedure allows your doctor to stabilize your SI joint with a simple and safe posterior approach, by inserting strategically designed implants directly into the joint. The procedure is done through a small incision and typically takes less than a half-hour to complete.

All arise, who are experiencing sacroiliac joint dysfunction, and head to your local Advanced Spine and Pain clinic. Then sit down and discuss the SIT procedure with your experienced pain provider. It is time that your pain takes a back seat to living your life pain-free.
