Lauren Mills, AGACNP-BC

Lauren Mills, AGACNP-BC is a board-certified Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a diverse and accomplished background in neurosurgery, trauma, perioperative medicine, and interventional pain management. She has spent more than 15 years in healthcare, with experience across a wide range of clinical settings—from Level I trauma centers and VA hospitals to outpatient clinics and community-based practices in both Arizona and California. 

Lauren has cared for complex patient populations including veterans, tribal communities, and underserved groups, and has developed expertise in interventional procedures, surgical comanagement, and evidence-based risk assessment. She has held specialized roles in neurosurgery, critical care, hospital medicine, and trauma, and has also contributed to pre-anesthesia protocols and enhanced recovery programs. Her clinical approach is collaborative, thorough, and deeply rooted in individualized care. 

Lauren earned her Post-Master’s Certificate in Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practice from California State University, Los Angeles. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary’s College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is certified in BLS, ACLS, ENLS, and maintains active licensure in Arizona, including DEA registration. 

Outside of work, Lauren lives in Prescott with her family and enjoys spending time with her therapy dog, Leo, who previously served patients in spinal cord and TBI units through pet therapy programs. Lauren is passionate about bringing compassionate, high-level care to patients navigating chronic pain and neurological conditions.
