A Bit Of A Stretch

Are you looking for something that you can do on a daily basis to reduce your chronic pain in the comfort of your own home, and that will not cost you a penny? Do you think that that might just be a bit of a stretch? If so, you are absolutely correct.

Stretching is frequently overlooked but can be extremely beneficial for those dealing with chronic pain. Stretching helps to relieve tension, build strength, enhance range of motion, improve circulation and blood flow, decrease stress, and improve coordination, all of which can help prevent injury and improve pain.

Use caution as you begin your stretching program to avoid injury. If you are sore, you may want to take a day off. It is generally recommended to stretch once or twice a day. It is usually advisable to warm up prior to stretching, wear comfortable, non-constricting clothes to facilitate your stretching and it should not be painful. Do not contort yourself into painful positions.

If you begin to engage in stretching at home that does not by any stretch of the imagination, mean that you are necessarily in the home stretch of your pain management. We are aware that pain can be a marathon, so if you need help at any point along the way, your friends at Advanced Spine and Pain are here for you, stretching out their arms and offering you a tall, refreshing glass of pain relief.
