Yoga for Back Pain

Did you know that yoga is one of the best forms of exercise to treat back pain?

Studies have shown after 12 weeks of yoga those with back pain noticed a decrease in their pain level. Yoga has been proven to improve back function. Yoga increases your flexibility and strength. When practiced regularly, yoga builds flexibility in the back and strengthens abdominal muscles which are needed to help support the spine. Yoga can be done while sitting, standing, or even lying in bed. There are many resources out there for beginner yoga. The internet and YouTube are great resources.
